SIGMO 2019 Release: KNOWLEDGE MEDIA – IDEAS ON MEDIATION AND AUTONOMY
A new book available Portuguese and in digital format by Richard Perassi
The book considers the existence and production of mediating systems, such as “Knowledge Media”, which main characteristic is the autonomy in carrying out knowledge processes for human users. Book Description:
This book presents a method of graphic design structural planning for editorial products. In relation to the usual methods, there is a proposed differentiation determined by the initial emphasis of the text typography choice on the project. This is because, from the characteristics and measurement of the chosen type, the lines, the grid, the diagram, the margins and, consequently, the graphic spot are planned. Thus, the dimensions and composition of the pages are defined, as well as the general format of the graphic-editorial product is projected.
Recommended for students and professionals in the fields of Design, Journalism and Advertising and others interested in knowing and applying an innovative and revolutionary method of graphic-editorial planning.

According to the Professor, “Currently, images from different origins and styles are constantly accessible, being viewed on the video digital apparatus of computer systems. Even images can be produced, reproduced and published on digital networks such as the Internet, This is possible for people who, at least minimally, have access to and some knowledge of digital-electronic devices with graphic and photographic capabilities. Today, computers, tablets, smartphones and digital camera phones offer a variety of resources for image capture, processing and production due to software or applications installed on different devices, according to the characteristics of their technological configuration. In its entirety, the digital image is structurally graphic. Since, once scanned, even hand-painted images or photographed with traditional techniques are now configured by dots or pixels. Similar to traditional graphics printing points, pixels are minimal visual units. But in addition to visually composing the various images on the video digital screen, pixels are elements whose position on the Cartesian plane of the video digital screen is logically identified. Therefore, they can also be individually altered in their luminous and chromatic characteristics, allowing the production, reproduction, transport or punctually detailed alteration of the video digital images … Read More
